The New Alfalfa Mixture from Tecnozoo
This alfalfa mixture made its debut in 2021, winning over a broad audience of customers. It was developed by Tecnozoo’s agronomists to meet the needs of every farmer, even in these years of unfavorable climatic conditions for optimal sowing and harvesting times.
Two varieties of Vicentine alfalfa, originating from the Berici Hills, rustic environments with limited water and moderately loose soils.
1st Variety
Impressive Alfalfa
medium to high, with a thin and hollow stem; very high leaf density and lanceolate leaf shape. A highly rustic plant that adapts remarkably well to any type of soil.
2st Variety
More Modern Alfalfa
Full and very slender stem; extremely high regrowth capacity,
suitable for medium-textured soils, tending towards clayey.
- Si adatta a tutte le tipologie di terreno.
- The competition between two varieties of the same species enhances quantitative performance.
- 3-5 days of different flowering periods allow for a wide harvest window.
- The 2 different stems (hollow and solid, tall and short but both very thin) allow for an excellent fiber/protein ratio.
- The shorter variety has a mechanical scaffolding effect.
- Extremely high regrowth speed (on average, allows for one extra cut).

In this issue, you will find:
CROP ROTATION: tips for clayey and sandy soils.
FIELD TRIALS: how much does the quality of alfalfa or alfalfa blend forage increase when treated with a chemical additive?
NUTRITION FOCUS: Alfalfa: not just proteins. Dr. Claudio Alberini – Veterinary Doctor, Tecnozoo

Thanks to the presence of two different types of alfalfa, the Alfa Mix alfalfa blend will be much more productive than a pure seed (a characteristic due to the natural competition between two varieties of the same species).
Slightly different flowering periods allow for wider cutting intervals and maintaining a consistently fresh product with excellent analytical qualities.
The phenotypic diversity of the two varieties (large, rounded leaf with a thin, hollow stem and lanceolate leaf with a thin, solid stem) enhances their fiber/protein ratios and increases resistance to lodging, trampling, and repeated cutting.
This alfalfa blend is very long-lasting and guarantees a high regrowth capacity.
