The farmer reports: Basso Farm and Tecnozoo together for a successful collaboration.
- Improved milk quality
- Increased dry matter intake
- Improvement in animal fertility and longevity
These are all the goals achieved by the Parmese farm thanks to careful management of the operation.
In this video, Francesco Basso, along with his children Jessica, Valerio, and Alessio, recount the story of the Parmese farm, founded with its first facility in 1990.
The herd is predominantly Holstein, and its production was between 25-27 liters per head. In 2019, a new facility was built where animal welfare has significantly improved, allowing current production to reach 33-37 liters per head.
Currently, the data are around 390 for fat, total protein is 370, casein 275, and cell count is around 150,000.
For supplementation, Adisal 1000, a Tecnozoo product, is used, which has improved the digestive process.
With these premises and improvements, the dream of doubling the herd is more realistic than ever.
