The Tecnozoo method for outstanding results.
For the “The Farmer Speaks” section, the spotlight is on Antonella Bianchi, who, along with her brother Amedeo Bianchi, owns the Dosso Pallavicino farm in Cicognolo, in the province of Cremona. Antonella took over from her father, who bought the farm in 1963.
Today, the operations are managed by the Civettini family. “Our collaboration with Tecnozoo has lasted almost 10 years now: I have relied on Tecnozoo, which has been supporting us since 2014. We are followed by a team consisting of Dr. Boldrin Pierantonio, Dr. Marcato Giovanni, and technical assistance from Molinari Giampiero.”
The improvements in management and nutrition have been numerous, according to Dr. Giovanni Marcato: “When we arrived, the farm used supplements for livestock feeding; later, we preferred to manage feeding using raw materials. We have achieved significant results, primarily in herd size, having grown from about 400 cows to 600. In terms of production, we have made great strides. We have increased from about 28-29 kg of milk to an average of 38 kg, with excellent quality, particularly to meet vitamin and mineral needs.”
